In this guide we will walk you through the simple steps to changing your Passat CC tail light bulbs. Whether you’re a seasoned DIY enthusiast or a beginner, the process is straightforward and can be completed in approximately 5 minutes.

Step 1: Locate the panel inside the boot/trunk that will give you access to the back of the tail light. Note, you may need a prying tool to open this.

Step 2: Squeeze the black tab (highlighted in red) to the right of the plug and pull back to release the housing.

Step 3: Replace the bulb(s) by simply pulling them out of their holder and replacing them with your new bulb(s). Then do the everything in reverse order and check the bulb light on your dash has gone out.
