The concept of auto high beam assist seemed a good feature to have initially. However, the more drivers became accustomed to it the more concerns they had with its operation. From blinding oncoming vehicles to a delay turning on when you need more visibility, it has proved somewhat troublesome for many drivers.
Fortunately, you can disable this setting when you push forwards your headlight lever twice. As shown below, you will have this icon (circled in red) when the AHBA is active and it disappears when it’s turned off.
