In this guide we’ll show you how to easily replace your brake light bulbs on an Audi A5 B8 2010.
Tools needed:
- Flathead screwdriver
- New bulb
Step 1: Open your boot/trunk and locate this panel on the side your light is out and pull it down.

Step 2: With your special tool provided under the spare wheel in the boot/trunk (or in this case a flathead screwdriver), slot it into this plastic screw that secures the tail light into place and turn it anticlockwise until it’s completely removed.

Step 3: Slide the part of the tail light closest to the boot away from the car and then gently wiggle until the 2 locator pins on the far side pop out.

Step 4: Twist the larger black circular bulb holder clockwise to remove the bulb from its place. Then, gently push down and twist the bulb to remove it. Then it’s a case of putting in your new bulb and doing everything else in reverse order.

Step 5: Ensure you put the 2 locator pins into position first and then you can safely push the rest of the tail light back into place.
