Looking to service your MK4 golf at home? In this guide we’ll show you how to easily change it out yourself with just a phillips screwdriver.

Tools needed:

• Phillips screwdrivers

Step 1: Locate the x2 screws on the back of the air filter and loosen them. It’s important to note that the screws do not unscrew all the way from the air filter box.

Step 2: Gently lift the back of the air filter box from the back and unhook the front part of it to expose your air filter.

Step 3: Then, simply remove your old filter, hoover/vacuum if necessary, and replace it with your new air filter. Do everything else in reverse order and you’re done!
