Here’s how to easily service the air filter at home on your 1.0 fiesta ST 2021 ecoboost.
Tool needed:
- Flat head Screwdriver
- 7mm socket (optional)
Step 1: First, begin by removing the MAF sensor connector. You can do this by hand by simply pushing the small tab and pulling gently at the same time. Sometimes, this can be tricky and may require the help of a flat head screwdriver for better leverage on the release tab.

Step 2: Next, with your flat head screwdriver or 7mm socket, loosen the jubilee clip and pull the pipe away from the airbox.
Step 3: Release the tabs around the box perimeter to remove it.
Step 4: Remove your panel filter. And if needed, hoover/vacuum out any loose debris and install your new panel filter.
Step 5: Then, simply do everything else in reverse order and you’re good to go.
