In this guide we will walk you through on how to easily change your worn out key fob battery for an Audi A5. When it comes to locking and unlocking your car you may notice a decrease in range, meaning you have to get closer for the fob to work. This is usually an early sign that your CR 2032 battery is getting weaker and it’s time for a new one.

Replace Your Battery Following These Simple Steps:

Step 1: At the same time, press and pull this button located on the lower-backside of the key.

Step 2: This will reveal the key which you can use when the battery has stopped working.

Step 3: Press down on the highlighted tab and firmly pull to reveal the coin cell battery.

Step 4: Remove your old CR 2032 battery from its holder and replace it with the new one.

Step 5: Then, simply do everything in reverse and test that your key works.
