In just 5 steps learn how to easily change the air filter in your Ford Fiesta ST MK7 (2013-2017) at home by yourself! The air filter plays a crucial role in maintaining the performance and longevity of your vehicle’s engine by ensuring clean air is delivered for combustion. By following these step-by-step instructions, you’ll be able to easily replace the air filter and keep your Fiesta running smoothly.

Tools Needed:

  • Flat-head screw driver
  • 10mm spanner/wrench/socket (optional)
  • T20 Torx

Step 1: Loosen the intake pipe clamp (jubilee clip) with a flat-head screw driver or a 10mm spanner/socket.

Step 2: Disconnect the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor by sliding the red clip back which will allow you to then pull the plug out.

Step 3: With a T20 torx, remove the 4 screws that hold down the lid.

Step 4: Lift the lid upwards and pull back whilst supporting the intake pipe with your other hand to remove the lid from the intake system.

Step 5: Remove any debris such as leaves etc that may be sitting inside the intake box and replace the air filter panel with your new one. Please ensure your new part goes in the same way it came out, failure to do so will result in the lid not fastening down correctly and a potential loss in power.
