How to easily turn your passenger airbag on or off for a VW Passat CC (2008-2016). If you’re using a child seat, make sure to disable the airbag to protect your child in case of an accident.

Step 1: Open your glovebox.

Step 2: Locate the passenger airbag insert within the top left-hand corner.

Step 3: Remove the plastic key from your fob by holding the side button and pulling out the tab at the bottom.

Step 4: Insert your plastic key and turn it to the ‘off’ position to disable the passenger airbag.

Step 5: Now, turn on your ignition and you should see the “Passenger Air Bag Off” light visible on your centre console.
